Bakersfield Life

I enjoy life as a precious gift, never taking each day for granted. I spend my time writing short stories and have published one book "Everyday Miracles" I am trying my hand at writing poetry but have a long way to go before I can call myself a good poet, but where there is life there is hope.

A Registered Nurse, Midwife & Public health Nurse by profession,I have had the opportunity to practice Internationally. My life has been shaped through my interaction with people of different cultures and ethnicity. Two countries stand out in my mind

Kenya, East Africa, where I learned the gift of giving, the beauty of sharing, to smile through hardship and to accept each day as a miracle.

Hawaii. This Island like its people are exceptionally beautiful.Here I understood the meaning of love.No one is ever left behind, not even at the bus-stop.There are still many wonderful people in this world, the type who make a difference. Aloha

Hobbies: Taking early morning walks,spending quality time with my grand kids, travel, writing.
