Bats aren't blind, they aren't related to rodents, and they don't suck your blood!  Wild myths about bats abound, and the truth about their unusual lifestyle is even wilder.  Join Ranger Jean at the Saddleback Butte State Park Campfire Center and learn about their amazing variety of sizes and shapes around the world, how similar they are to us, why they're extremely important, and the historic reasons behind why they got such a bad rap.  She will also answer your questions about how to attract them or humanely get rid of them, and give you the secrets to bat house success.
Bring a skewer to make s’mores around the campfire after the show- supplies provided!  Bad weather cancels.
