Weekends at the California Living Museum (CALM) just got more exciting. Wildlife presentations are now scheduled three times on Saturdays and three times on Sundays. CALM Animal Keepers focus on mammals, birds of prey or reptiles during individual presentations, providing visitors with up close and personal experiences with the animals.

Presentations are entertaining, and everyone leaves a little more knowledgeable about the wildlife around them.

The Central California Children’s Railroad is on track for rides Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m.and Sundays 1-4 p.m. This is not a kiddie train ride — adults enjoy it as much as children. Tracks run east of the zoo and during the eight minute ride passengers get a great view of the Kern River with frequent glimpses of wildlife in their natural habitat. Train tickets are only $1.

CALM is located at 10500 Alfred Harrell Highway (between Lake Ming and Hart Park). For more information, call 661-872-2256 or visit our Web site at http://www.calmzoo.org.
