Accepting artwork of any medium, including but not limited to~ paintings, sculptures, photographs, digital art, drawings, folk art, fabrics, etc.

MOTHER NATURE'S CANVAS - A group art show featuring artists of mediums from Bakersfield, Kern County & the Central Valley. The theme for the display is Nature Themed and Inspired Art. This opening reception will feature art, refreshments & live performances by Nicholas Allen & Aaron Novak of The Silence Club. Admission is free to the public.

Begin the evening at the Metro Galleries with wine from the cellar of a prominent local wine collector. Mike Barker, the featured artist, will be on hand to provide a private art tour. The night continues upstairs where Don Martin will give a detailed tour of the new 1612 City Lofts Condominium Project and the history of the Hay Building. While touring enjoy a selection of wines and hors d'oeuvres from the Noble Bistro. Then, before heading back downstairs, take a moment to enjoy the view from Martin's loft overlooking the Fox Theatre and Downtown Bakersfield. End your unique night out with a delectable dessert and glass of port along with organic coffee in the new Metro Wine Lounge.

Sierra Art Trails welcomes visitors to its sixth annual open studios tour.

Artists and artisans will open their studios or show their work at various locations around Eastern Mariposa and Madera counties for this two day event on October 11 & 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Enjoy a weekend taking in the fresh air and pristine beauty of the Southern Yosemite Foothills while meeting the area's many artists and seeing some at work in their studios. For a relaxing weekend consider staying overnight at a local hotel or B&B. Dine in one of the area’s many fine restaurants, or pack a picnic lunch and just enjoy the autumn sunshine.

Plan your Art Trails weekend by attending the Preview Exhibit featuring representative works by all Sierra Art Trails artists. The Preview Exhibit is open to the public from September 13th through October 14th, with a Grand Opening reception on Saturday, September 20 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Stellar Gallery in Oakhurst. This event will include food, live music and fun.
