About KevinEubanks
My road to becoming the Specialty Publications Editor for The Bakersfield Californian has certainly been a windy one. I started here at the newspaper in 2000 as a sports writer and loved covering high school sports for three years. But with my love for that job also came a hatred for the 3 p.m. to midnight shifts I was forced to work five times a week. So I moved on. I worked at CSU Bakersfield in the athletic department for a bit, then moved to Seattle to become the Sports Information Director at Seattle University for two years. I sort of jumped around jobs, hoping to fall in love with the job I was in each time, but I never did. Until now. I have found my passion for my job once again and I look to make both Bakersfield Life and Kern Business magazines the very best they can be. In addition to my work life, I have an amazing wife, Monique, who I married last November, three outstanding dogs (hi Trixie, Maggie and Buttons!) and one very annoying cat. I love golf, the Toronto Blue Jays and USC football.
