  The Music Teachers’ Association of  California (MTAC), Kern Branch, presents the annual Awards Recital on Sunday, May 18 at 1:00.  The recital features selected students who received “Honors” in this year’s MTAC events.  The public is invited to attend the Awards Recital, held in the choir room at Valley Baptist Church, corner of Fruitvale and Hageman. The performers in the Awards Recital include pianists and a harpist.  Students were chosen from January’s Sonata/Sonatina Festival, March’s Certificate of Merit Evaluation, April’s Kern Branch Bach Festival, and the April MTAC Recital.   The recipients of the Vaughn Malquist Memorial Scholarship and the Carol Rodgers Memorial Scholarship will also perform.  These scholarship recipients were chosen by active participation in MTAC events and other music opportunities, and by audition.  The names of these Scholarship Winners are engraved on...
