Our divas took notes of their experience to bring you an inside look at what has become a local dining tradition. Lydia Rowles works for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools and is married to Jon Rowles. Originally from the East Coast, Lydia moved to Bakersfield 12 years ago. She enjoys food that’s a little different and appreciates a creative menu.  Katie Kirschenmann says she joined the Junior League of Bakersfield to meet people. Despite her dedication to volunteering she pursues her passion for art and food. The California landscape is an inspiration to her painting and Bakersfield’s unique ethnic dishes are an inspiration to her palette.
