Report Violation

Are you sure you want to report the following content as a violation?
Your article brings great awareness to the public- people should be knowledgeable of how much waste and energy is produced from everything they buy. One thing I would like to add to your article is that instead of throwing away those 68 pounds of clothing a year, people can donate the clothes they no longer use to charity. The Salvation Army ARC on Union and 19th Street will take your clothing donations (as well as household items, furniture, etc) and reuse them if they can, otherwise they bale the material and salvage it. They are a great recycling force in Bakersfield, saving tons of materials from going into our landfills every year. Instead of throwing it all away, call the Salvation Army (1-800-SA-TRUCK) and they will come get your goods, and you will be helping out someone in need in the community as well as the environment.
